I spent 16+ years as a software engineer building and shipping production systems before pivoting into IT Audit and technology assurance. This site is where I document that transition — what I'm learning, the certifications I'm working through, and later, how the work looks once I'm doing it professionally.

My engineering background means I look at audit and assurance from inside the systems being reviewed, not just from a checklist — and I want to bring that perspective to audit and risk work across the full technology stack, not just information security.
